Squirmy wormy.

M – Nectarine is very good at escaping. Especially when trying to clothe her. Doesn’t matter if they be day clothes or sleepers. She wriggles and squirms and twists and turns until those snaps pop or zippers unzip … well, you get the idea. To make life more interesting, she can now shuffle along stable objects (chairs, etc.) at quite the pace. Very determined young lady too. Before she could be stopped by getting in her way. Now she just crawls up our outstretched bodies and slides down the other side – usually ending up facedown on the carpet. She finishes sliding down and is off again to whatever her goal is – usually power cords or remotes (real ones, not the fake, empty ones we ‘accidentally’ leave out).

Not exploring and saying ‘cool’. Exploring and asks why/what makes it so. Either way, boxes are always more fun than the expensive toy they held.

Cool - a box. Can we keep it?

Recently she started climbing our (carpeted) stairs. She loves it when you follow her up and giggles when you catch her. It’s less fun when stops at the top and contemplates going back down. Granted, she has gone down stairs safely on her own, but after clambering up to the 2nd floor, things are getting a bit out of our comfort zone.

I'm tired. Where's my crib?

That's just silly. Who would put my crib upstairs? The TV is down here...

Glad we decided to put plexiglass in. She tries to squeeze through, and Mango tries to climb over. Shudder.

The view from the top is sweet. Look, I am taller than everyone!

A sweet slice of fun

I love my life.*
