In Sickness and in Health.

M – Poor girl, yet another bout of illness hit Mango. When she is vomiting and has diarrhea, our lives crash to a halt. Over the past day we have had to do at least 1/2 dozen loads of laundry in a futile attempt to keep up with the rapid changes of clothing and blankies needed throughout the day. I hear from a mother of a 2 1/2 year-old that the first year is the worst for illnesses, and it seems she wants to get everything out-of-the-way as soon as possible, as she is just over 14 months old.

Anyway, since there is little time for picture-taking when trying to keep things clean and dry as possible, this is just a small post to keep our few regular readers informed. The worst part of it all is watching her cry pitifully after throwing up everything ingested, so much so that she is down to bile. Looking to us to fix her pain and not being able to. Not that we *cough* noticed, but the smell of vomit is lingering in every room of this place.

  1. sigh. you’re post is bringing back such memories…
    (hope M feels better soon)

  2. At least it isn’t 4x worse 😉
Positive note, she is laughing and full of energy today, as if nothing bad ever happened.

  3. …have been there, have done it (x3 children), know all about it…glad this was only short-lived…a, so called, 24 hour bug, I guess! Thankful and glad that M is better again!!!
