Life in a bubble

M – This was the first day (and two nights) alone with Mango, so we had to be real parents and not pass her over to relatives when things were not going smoothly and we needed a break. I cannot imagine how we would have survived without family. Things are still developing, but mostly it is Mango’s apparent awareness of the world around her. While still being run ragged, we did find time to sit back, take a breath or two, and continue the ‘bonding’. Of course, none of this will be remembered in the future, but we enjoy it now. We are fortunate to have another break today – maybe one of us will actually have a nap in the afternoon. Again, our families are a tremendous support for this new household. ๐Ÿ˜€

Things are getting more organized, but in a chaotic fashion. Places are being found for baby stuff, at the expense of our own stuff. The rooms all have something to accommodate Mango, so everything looks really messy – even though everything is far handier. Just another way in which we adapt and that Mango blithely exerts her power.

Sleep on, young one.

  1. Kinda odd when she started staring back don’t ya think..I remember those moments best from the fog of A’s first month.

  2. Yeah. Surreal. She can hold her head up somewhat already and pretends she looks at us as if she knows us. Warms one’s heart, even though it is all a sham. ๐Ÿ˜›
